See the beauty of being "in the single season."
And indeed I would agree with this since there's really a healthy kind of glow that will develop within when you let yourself enjoy your own company first. You really don't need to chase love in order to feel validated and accepted when Love is already within you and with you.
In my case, I was already allowed to entertain suitors at age 18 yet it was my firm decision to still do enjoy my own company and growth till 22. Even when I'm in an awesome relationship now, that sense of individuality remains and it is clearly rooted from being able to experience
the essential part of dating myself with the rejuvenating serenity and fulfillment of what self discovery offers.
Those single years back then weren't really passive ones since I was able to gain adventures, awesome connections and life changing lessons. I got to know myself better and what I was looking for in a partner. It also made me embrace the true meaning of love from the One true source of it and it really is a breathtaking process to go through. Just like what I experience when reading Ate Chona's book. 💕

Matagal ko nang nakikita 'tong book na to sa posts ng fb friends ko, pero hindi ko pa sila na-try i-approach para humiram ng book or maka-avail ng copy nito.. Nandun kasi yung thinking ko na, "another book na naman, para mag-advise sa akin about waiting for God's best"... Marami na rin siguro akong nabasang devotionals, books, and articles tungkol sa ganitong usapin.
Pero na-amaze ako sa book na to. Sobrang personal yung approach, hindi yung tipong mag-aadvise lang.. Pero more on sharing the Author's own experiences about love life. Nakakabless marinig yung naging journey ni Ms. Chona, at halos lahat nung na-experience niya parang na-experience ko rin. Kaya hindi mahirap maka-relate 😁
Marami akong personal learnings sa book na 'to pero yung pinakatumatak sa isip ko ay ito:
"Don't fall in love but walk in love."
Na-realize ko, nakakapagod na yung lagi kang nafa-fall tapos walang sumasalo... Kaya mas maiging maglakad nalang in love. Hindi kailangang may sumalo sayo, kasi hindi ka naman mafa-fall. 😉
In our journey, whether tungkol man sa romantic relationship or hindi, we must always walk in love and with love. Always walk with the Author of Love: Our Almighty God. ❤

No dearer words than real words from a diary. Typically Filipino: deep longings of a teenager going to adulthood Filipina. Words only listening hearts can hear. That void of intimacy (young) girls and (adult) women try to fill up for completeness is the essence of Diary of Ms. True Love Waits.
Literally, the book I would have wanted to read in my high school years (bet my batchmates would agree)!
The book exemplifies how to fill the void of intimacy and finish it with the surest thing one lover can give…
So blessed to read your book. Nakita ko paano yung turn of moments, not big events, deep moments, pero just how God changed you chasing after (the love of) men then to becoming His. Moment by moment nakausap mo siya from beginning, alam ko until now that story is still ongoing.
Gusto ko yung part na kahit di natin nakikita kung sino tayo sa sinabi ni Lord na kung sino tayo, we’re longing to be like Him para ang ending to be one with Him. Ganda. Na-remind ako dun ng redemption work ni God sa ‘tin.
Thanks for writing a book like this. Do it again Lord!
